Damien scrabbled up again, paint spattering around his feet, and obbled oiver to the bunker-thing on the other end. He flopped down behind it, completely winded.

Michelle was next. Damien had passed her the first time she had been hit, when she had thought she had already failed. Now she did a flip over the bunker wall and landed behind it in a crouch, facing the way she had come. She wondered if there was an easier way, now that she knew magic was physically possible. If Melliane had the power to manipulate water then maybe Michelle could develop a power to could help her avoid enemy fire.

Malakai had been hit in the first volley of paintballs, but had used his above normal speed to dart to the safety of the bunker without attracting too much attention.
He offered a hand up to Damien.

Aelita hovered near the building watching the pretty paint colors splattering on the runners. She giggled in evil delight when the other students fell down.

After noting that most of the students had made it to the bunker and that subsequently he could drop his attention slightly, Tzu Mei called out to the flying girl, "Get down here and run the course, child!" He knew very well that she wasn't in his assigned group, but to him that didn't matter much. Anyone who could watch his class could very well join in. It certainly did not cross his mind that the other teachers would disapprove.

Aidan had managed to avoid being hit so far, by a combination of sheer luck and his natural speed. Until he saw Michelle hit by several paintballs, that is.
He turned to look, secretly glad that she'd been hit, then turned back to head towards the bunker.
Right in time to be hit in the arm by a pair of paintballs.

Aelita made a rude noise and began to fly away. She had no desire to get paint on her pretty dress.

Tzu Mei very nearly fired off a shot in the girl's general direction, but checked himself in time. He had a class to run, after all. "When I blow this whistle, all of you will run back here," he shouted. "Those who haven't yet made it to the bunker will continue to it and then return. When you make it back, remove your armor and line up inside the circle for hand-to-hand combat lessons." He waited for a few seconds before loudly blowing the whistle.

With a groan, Damien got up again and started running across the field again, trying to slalom a bit across the now rainbow-coloured grass. He justknew he was going to be hit again...

Malakai positioned himself so that he was keeping Damien between himself and Tzu Mei, at least for the time being.

"You're slowing down! Don't slow down until you make it to safety!" Tzu Mei shouted. He nodded at Malakai's actions; if there was cover, you had to take it. Even if it meant a comrade had to shield you.

Rena started running for the other side. This time, as soon as she heard shots around her she threw herself to the ground to avoid them. She considered waiting for the teacher to change targets, but decided that he'd probably just take a shot while she was vulnerable, so she pushed off the ground and just kept running. Almost there... she thought as her vision was suddenly clouded with paint. Dammit. killed getting into cover. Glad I'm not the one doing this in a real battle. Well, she was behind cover now.
