Kahlen patted Mellianne on the shoulder. "Ah, well. It can get fairly cold where I live. Doubly so the more north you go."

She shifted the rackets in her arms. They were rather awkward to carry. "Curling's played on a sheet of ice. It's sometimes called chess on ice. You've got these rocks that you slide down the sheet to the end, where there are circles..." Kahlen trailed off as her explanation got rather confusing. "Well, I'm sure you'd be better off looking it up online. I've only ever watched."

Mellianne shrugged. "Well, it snows where I live too, I just don't go outside much when it does. And sounds really confusing, and cold." She shivered. "Though I'll try to remember to look it up."
