"Good evening," Professor Galontauré-Jones said. "Tonight we'll be conversing on the subject of malware, commonly but incorrectly referred to as computer viruses. Viruses are a type of malware, to be certain, but using the term as a catch-all is inaccurate."
He gazed out at his students.
"Can anyone tell me about types of malware?"

Kahlen was already in her seat from the comp sci class. She switched notebooks and stared blankly at the front of the classroom. Kahlen wrote 'Malware' in block letters on the top of her notebook page and drew a virus (the biological kind) next to the letters. She didn't know much about malware, except that she didn't like when it was on her computer.
Kahlen shook her head, hoping the teacher got the hint that she didn't know anything. She continued doodling, waiting for the question to be answered by another student.

Malakai slipped into a seat at the back of the classroom. It was time he knuckled down and actually attended a few classes.

"Well, I'd say it's high time we learned about it then."
He goes into a lecture about the various types of malware, including viruses, Trojan Horses, spyware, adware, and the like.
