Fredericks returned to the shed after the encounter with the students in the forest. ((see 'Trip to the Clearing')) The bowl was now empty and clean, its contents put to various uses.
Entering the shed he immediately went to the back room and unlocked it, muttering arcane phrases under his breath as he did so. He placed the bowl on a shelf and emptied several objects from his pockets onto other shelves. He exited the room, locking the door behind him with more mumbled arcane words.
He headed back for his office and suddenly stopped, his head snapping towards the main area of the shed and his eyes narrowed. He stepped into the larger room and his eyes scanned the walls, stopping at a tell-tale gap. For once his face showed emotion, and that emotion was anger. Stepping over, he sniffed the air and licked the wall up and down where the handle would have been until he found where the culprit's fingers had just grazed wall.
"Sulfer...and...bitter root."
