Figured we'd need one of these sooner or later to avoid putting parenthetical comments all over our posts, so I might as well start it.
A note about Desi's suitcase: It has indeed arrived without her. OOC, this is because I'm being forced to spend my day in school tomorrow and I wanted to put something in there, dangit.
IC, it's because there's no way a walking plot hole manages to travel anywhere without some confusion, and being separated from one's luggage is practically to be expected.
If anyone opens it, the suitcase contains typical girl's clothing, though it tends to be on the pink and frilly side.

Don't worry, it's okay to just have minor parenthetical comments! They don't disrupt the flow of play that much! I think it might be more difficult to follow along if there's a separate OOC thread - with parentheticals, it's all laid out right there.

Hah, we're going to need this. One of the things we need to sort out, and keep in mind, is what form our shapeshifters take. I've seen people adressing Less Than Beta as a furry boy, but he looks human. So does Damien, for that matter, and I think most of our shapeshifter characters will want to look human when among other people.

Good point. I'll just clarify it in this thread here so that I don't have to explain in the other ones:
When Less is in human form, he looks perfectly human save his odd hair color. When he is in wolf form, he looks like a perfectly normal, if somewhat large (wolves rarely ever reach 90 lbs) wolf. Other than those differences, there is no way to tell that he is a shifter.

Perhaps it would be easiest to just uniformly put these things in character profiles, and link to character profiles in signatures? This way, no confusion. Or, at least, little confusion.

I (and thus both Lawrence and Elena) will be away from my computer for the next several days, as I'm in the process of moving back to Colorado. For now, just assume that they're both being quiet and staying in the background.

I've noticed a tendency to be offline when everyone else is online. Since this means Less tends to join topics late, I'm going to excuse that in character as a tendency to get lost due to not being used to getting around places without a good sense of smell.

I'm back. It might take me a while to get back into the swing of things.

Infodump:
Less' pack's territory is in Nunavut, Canada, and covers about 120 square miles. The pack itself contains 15 individuals, nine of whom (including Less) are the children of the two Alphas. The other four are Mother of Alpha, Negotiator, and two non-relatives. "Alpha" can refer to either alpha werewolf, and it is almost impossible to determine which one Less is referring to unless he happens to use a pronoun. Negotiator is a sister of the female Alpha.
The female Alpha is a were-red wolf, not a were-grey wolf, and thus so is Negotiator. The male Alpha was originally part of a huge pack that has since broken into several smaller packs.
Werewolf societal structure differs distinctly from ordinary wolf pack structure. Weres tend to form bigger packs in bigger territories, and are less accepting of intrusions by other packs. Hunting large game is generally done with some members in wolf form, and others in human form.
Weres of most types tend to be longer-lived than humans. With werewolves, there is a trend that ones of heritage based closer to polar regions tend to find it easier to be in wolf form, and ones of heritage based closer to equatorial regions tend to find it easier to be in human form. This is one of the reasons Negotiator is the negotiator, and why Less dislikes being in human form so often.

Due to a family emergency and general busyness on my part, I will be leaving the forum for the foreseeable future.

I've had a pretty crazily-busy couple of weeks with work, so I haven't been around much recently. Hopefully will be able to fix that over the next week.

I'm back. I apologize for disappearing without warning, but I was having Internet problems, followed by an insanely busy schedule.
