After having cleaned up after her Archaeology class, she'd set up for the other class she was teaching: biology.
"Welcome back again for some of you, whom I saw this morning. To the others: welcome. As you may or may not have heardm, I am Professor Alaine Kensington, and I will be teaching you biology this semester. Biology is a very extensive subject, and in this first year we will cover several things, including humanoid anatomy and bodily functions, ecosystems in nature, a bit about evolution and influence of magic, and we will have some outside classes as well where we will draw plants and analyse them.
"We can also have a practical class with microscopy where you will be drawing cell structures. The class will end with a comprehensive exam at the end of the semester. After that, you'll be rid of me. I hope to teach you what I know, and I hope you'll actually learn something from it." At the last, she gave the class a stern gaze, but with a little smile to accompany it.

Mellianne stepped into her biology class. She took a seat up towards the front and took out one of her notebooks and a pen. She wrote down the rough outline of the class as the teacher was talking about in order to help her keep track of what she was supposed to be learning. Sometimes she wished she was as smart as her older brother so she wouldn't need to take notes all the time.

"That sounds kinda gross," Aurora mumbled, hearing Professor Kensingtons' description of the class. She had wandered in, looking for something to do since she still didn't know very many people at the school.

"I presume it might, miss Robinson." Kensington had obviously heard the muttered words. She'd also taken care to check through the student directory before, which didn't have pictures with it, but Aurora was very recognisible. The other cyborg girl was far less refined with her mechanical subparts. "But it is an essential part of this course. Much of the plant-related subjects and some of the fauna-related ones, at least the part about recognition and use, will be covered in the Forestry and Survival classes of Professor Shiyal. That leaves us with the inner workings of things, which indeed includes the humanoid body." She sighed. Teaching these kids about the reproductive system was going to be a complete disaster.

Mellianne was paying close attention to everything the professor was saying, as well as taking notes. Who knew if biology may come in handy with her powers, but she was going to give this class her all while she was taking it; same with the rest of her classes.

Having located the classroom and noticed some familiar faces, Destiny decided to give it a shot. The class had already started, and Destiny slipped quietly into the back of the classroom. She had forgotten her notebook, so she just got out a pen with the intent to just scrawl anything important onto her hand instead. The pen was quickly forgotten, though, as was the teacher; Desi, as usual, had begun to daydream, idly looking at her surroundings from different mental angles. From one angle, a desk would be wooden; from another angle, it was metal. From a third angle, a screw at the back of the chair had come loose, and the seat was hanging on by the other screw, ready to collapse if someone sat. From yet another, someone had stuck a wad of gum to the back of the chair...
Finally deciding there was nothing particularly interesting about the desk in all its multiple possible forms, Desi propped her head on her hands and stared vaguely in the general direction of the teacher instead. It was fairly obvious that she wasn't really listening.

With a flourish, Professor Kensington picked up a piece of fresh chalk and started writing on the blackboard. Along with her very legible handwriting came an explanation of the first topic, which was ecosystems as a whole. She explained how everything fits into a certain spot in nature, a niche, and how disruption of ecosystems can create new niches and make old ones obsolete. She explained the notion of a biosphere, and how on this planet there was actually not a single closed off biosphere that had no outside influence, since the air connects everything together. She went on until just before the end of class, and then turned to her students. "I will stop here for today. I have a few things I want to tell you still. If you ever have any questions outside class hours, my office is down the hall on this same floor. I will try to be there outside class. Around meal timjes I won't be there however, and it might be best if you come at other times between classes. Also, I would like for you all to get the book I am setting for this course," and she held up the biology book that had been on her desk all the time, "which is this one. I made sure this book is available at the school store for a minor cost. It would be best if you all get this book, since I'll be using it for topics and guidance in this class."
She put the book down on her desk again, and looked at her watch. "Okay kids, this was it. You're free to go now. go and enjoy your afternoon." Alaine stood tall in front of the blackboard, watching the students pack up their things again. This was going very well.

Mellianne copied everything the teacher wrote on the board and added a note at the beginning of her notes about Professor Kensington's office hours. She also noted down the name of the book for her to pick up later. Once the professor dismissed them, she stretched and decided to stop by the store and then her room before heading out to the pool again.

Aurora had dozed off during the course. She had settled into an adorable little position on her desk, her chin propped up with one arm.

Seeing the dozing girl, Alaine walked over to her seat and tapped her on the shoulder. "Miss Robinson, class is over. You might want to wake up. And please, next time try not to fall asleep during class."

The lights on her face had turned a tame shade of blue, and flashed in tune with the erratic movements below her eyelids. They swapped to their normal red when she stirred.
"Come back, unicorn!" she mumbled drowsily before realizing her whereabouts. She popped awake, turning a bright shade of red. "Oh, okay, sorry."
