With her laptop, a small blanket, a full thermos of coffee, and a little bit of ingenuity, Elena has made a little retreat for herself here. She's currently curled up in one of the library's worn easy chairs while surfing the internet.

Lying on a couch which has a pile of clothes in front of it is a rather large wolf. Every so often, he turns the page of a thick book (is that a dictionary?) with a deft flick of a claw. Less Than Beta appears to be refreshing his English vocabulary, and is certainly happy to do so in comfort.
He glances over at Elena and lets out a high-pitched whine.

"Hmm?"
Elena looked up from her computer and, to her credit, only did a small double-take upon seeing a wolf reading a dictionary. Had she been drinking from her thermos, she would have perhaps coughed on her coffee but not done a full spit-take.
She looked down at her screen, then back up at the wolf. "Did you need something?" she finally asked.

Less stretches, and then suddenly is human again. Please ignore the nudity; he sure is. After a brief shake to ensure everything was connected properly (you never knew when a shift would refuse to go all the way through), he sits up and speaks, "I was wondering what that is in your thermos. It has a very nice smell."

When Less Than Beta changed, Elena suddenly found something very interesting on the floor to stare at. "In the thermos?" she said, her eyes still glued to the carpet. "It's just coffee."
She pours some coffee into the thermos lid (which doubles as a cup) and holds it out in Beta's direction. There is still no effort to look directly at him. "You're welcome to try a bit if you like."

Pay no mind to the fact that Less thinks that Elena is averting her eyes in order to express submission to a higher-ranking individual, and that offering him food is a reinforcement of that sentiment. "Thank you," he says, because saying thanks is a given in human society. Fortunately for Elena's coffee supply, he find it too bitter for his tastes and carefully hands the thermos lid (still with coffee in it) back.

Elena poured the coffee in the thermos lid into a nearby trash bin before replacing it on her thermos. She then returned her attention to her laptop. A subdued laugh track could be heard from the very quiet computer speakers.

With a yawn and a stretch, Elena dislodged herself from her artificial cocoon. "Well, that was fun," she said, "But I could do with a bit of lunch. Coffee by itself can only fuel me for so long." She nodded in acknowledgement of Less before striding out, her stuff bundled up under one arm.
