After lunch, Michelle entered the headmistress' office without bothering to knock. "Hello headmistress," she said, "I'd like to run for student council."

Professor Cutty looked over. "Oh, is that so?" She smiled. "Let me get you the paperwork for it."
She leaned over, opened a desk drawer, and pulled a single sheet of paper out, and set it out on top of the desk, and waited for Michelle to take it.
The paper itself was quite simple; it had a place for the runner's name, year, and finally their goals for if they were elected.
"Just turn this in later, filled out," Cutty said. "You're welcome to start campaigning now, however."

Michelle looked at the form and wondered what her goal could be. This was a difficult question because she was mainly running to fuel her massive ego. To narrow it down, she asked, "what exactly can I do if I'm elected?"

Less walked in cautiously, with his body slouched and his head tilted up to reveal his throat. Though this would probably appear odd to onlookers, he was in fact trying to show submission to a higher authority. The main problem was that in his current form he lacked some of the proper muscles and body parts. "May I run for student council, ma'am?" he asked.

"Of course you may,' she said. "You just need to fill out this sheet and return it." Cutty set out a second form for Less Than Beta, as she explained. "After that, you're welcome to start your campaign."
She turned towards Michelle again, though this was directed at both students. "As a member of student council, you'd be in charge of putting into effect policies that affect the students, such as curfew changes or school trips, and be in charge of things like dances. The student council's responsibility is to represent the student body, and bring issues that other students might have with how things are going up, for schoolwide recognition, or to tell me something that I might not be aware of."

Michelle made up her mind. The students could have all the school trips and dances that St. Dymphna's could afford, but her main platform would to repeal curfew outright. Failing that, she would push for it to be as late as possible. Michelle produce a pen and quickly filled out the form. Beaming, she returned the completed paperwork to the headmistress and said, "All finished. Let me know when I win."

Less took a while to fill out the paperwork, as he was taking the time to make his handwriting as legible as possible. He decided that his goals were to establish a dance association which taught types of dances from all over the world, to bug the teachers for a Hunting class, and to investigate that odd curse one of the other students had triggered.
"Do you have any ideas for starting the campaign?" he asked the headmistress as he handed back the paper.

Scott knocked on the door frame as he walked into Professor Cutty's office. He'd seen Michelle walking down the corridor after leaving the office, so hopefully that meant the Headmistress was around.
He noticed Less filling out some sort of form, and then turned to speak to the Headmistress.
"Hi, Headmistress, I'd also like to run for student council," he said. He'd dressed up for the occasion and was wearing SDA uniform in an attempt to seem as responsible as possible. Time would only tell if it also came across as try-hard...

She nodded curtly to Scott, and handed the youth one of the papers as well. "There you are, all you need to do is fill it out and bring it back to me," she said.
Cutty rose from her desk, and looked over to Less. "You could always put posters up announcing you're running, or tell your friends," she said with a smile. "The student body is small this semester, but I wouldn't want to encourage you to not get the full experience that comes with posters and flyers."
She looked between them both. "Do you know if any of your other classmates are interested in running?"
(OOC: Right now there are three people running for the student elections, which is less than the amount of people who can be voted in. If anyone has a character that would be interested in running, I strongly encourage you to put them in!)
