Aravind, after grabbing an apple in the Dining Hall, went right back out to the School Grounds. He hadn't yet had the chance to see much more than the forest, and he was interested in the gardens and paths that might be found. He noted the obstacle course built by Tzu Mei with a raised eyebrow, and began looking at the forest edge, mentally marking good places to start a new trail; one of the skills he'd planned on covering was trail-blazing. He looked preoccupied, lost in thought, but not openly upset.

The shuffling of feet and the mumbling announced the presence of groundsman Fredericks as he came up behind Aravind. There was an additional thump as he took the axe from his shoulder and rested it on the ground, leaning on it heavily.
"Afta'noon.....professor. I 'ope ya didn't lose one of yer students already." His tone sounded as if that was exactly what he hoped.

Aravind nodded to the man, and made a wry face. "Afternoon, sir." He half-shrugged, "And you can call me Aravind, or whatever strikes your fancy. I'm only a professor by the skin of my teeth." Glancing back at the forest, he shook his head.
"No, haven't lost anyone yet. Though if that fairy girl acts anywhere near as bratty as she did last night, I won't hesitate to throw her to the bears." He's mostly exaggerating, but under it, rather worried about dealing with an utterly spoiled Fae.

"Shame that." Fredericks sounded disappointed. "Still...fae blood....lots of uses...could even..." He cleared his throat. "I'm sure ya can 'andle yerself in the forest but if ya 'ave any questions, just let m'know."

Aravind glanced over at Fredericks, saying nothing at the vaguely bloodthirsty grumbling. He supposed the man could be joking, and if not... well. Everyone's got a strange side, right?
"Thanks. I think I've got it covered, but I will let you know if anything comes up." He gave the groundskeeper a friendly nod and moved on towards the trailhead, mentally computing his lesson plan for Survival class, and how far he intended to go.
