Name: William Jason Fredericks
Age: Unknown
Hair: Mostly bald/white
Eyes: Hazel
Height: 6'2"
Appearance: William Jason Fredericks is a lanky, ungraceful man with spindly arms and knobby knees. Although his actual age is unknown he appears to be in his mid to late sixties. He is bald but has thick white sideburns and a full beard but no eyebrows to speak of. Except for very rare occasions he dresses in well-worn overalls with a flannel shirt. He has often been described as "creepy" and the appellation fits but otherwise appears to be just an elderly man.
Biography: No one knows when William was born, not even him. He prefers not to think about it. When Professor Halston, Head of the History department at St. Auxentius' Academy from 1690-1704, pressed him for details of his earliest memory William mumbled something along the lines of "uppity folks building monoliths all over my land". Professor Halston launched a full scale investigation into William's past using means both magical and mundane but was never able to determine when William came into being or where his immortality came from. In the end he speculated that William may have very well sprung fully-formed from the earth itself in the mists of pre-history and represents some primal aspect of the earth. The oldest verifiable records of William are from this same St. Auxentius' academy, a prestigious British school similar to St Dymphna's which was founded in 1034, which mentions an "elder of the land" named William being present at the founding and working as "steward". He has served at St. Auxextius' since that day, his record spanning literal volumes, with mentions of things such as "Hastings", "Hundred Years War" and "The Blitz". Scattered among these hundreds of pages are occasional mentions of disciplinary actions for vaguely defined offenses such as "consorting with the unsavory", "divination via unapproved media", and "violation of the Wilkshire agreement". These offenses never seemed to warrent more than a note in his file and have seemed to grow less frequent as the years have passed.
His reasons for coming to St. Dymphna's are unclear but both his file and his past employers speak highly of his skill with plants and animals despite his somewhat "eccentric" behaviors. He is frequently seen wandering the school grounds at night with a dead animal and rumors persist that he practices pagan rites, demon summoning, and blood magic.
Personality: Simply put, William does not like kids and his eccentric behavior makes him an easy target for their mockery. Why he continues to work at a school is anyone's guess. He tends to mumble to himself, walks with a hunch, and does not like to look people in the eye, although when he does his eyes hold a startling amount of life. He tends to keep to himself and go about his duties in (mumbly) silence although he has a startling tendancy of popping out from behind something as students go by, usually with something sharp in his hands.
