Verin was walking through the corridors, shortly before sunset. He seemed deep in concentration, eyes closed, one arm raised, as if he was scanning the air with his hand. He paused for a minute outside the computer lab and opened his eyes. "Here" he mumbled, opening the door.
There had been magic here, of that there was no doubt. But instead of lingering in the air where it was cast, somehow this spell had been moved, leaving only trace hints of its existence. He walked up to one of the terminals. Strange, there was no magic in any of the computers unless all of them were taken into account at once.
Verin stood into the center of the room, and attempted to draw the magical residue in. There. He had something approaching a magic signature, unlike any magic he knew of. And now, it was only a matter of time...
