(This takes place late October.)
Kahlen woke up late, so she was in a hurry to the gym. Once she got there, she went to a supply closet and pulled out various bits of PVC pipe. She had gotten the PVC for a makeshift ballet barre after a few lessons. It worked much better than the ledge, anyways.
She put the PVC pipes together and carried the barre into the gym. She set the barre by the bleachers, then busied herself putting on her jazz shoes.
She had been teaching ballet to the other students and thought they had learned enough to do relatively well in a new style- this time, musical theatre.
Kahlen rifled through her bag some more and pulled out a rather old looking boom box and an extension cord, which were then plugged into the nearest wall. She smiled and pulled out a CD labelled 'Throroughly Modern Millie.'
'I hope the boys don't mind this,' she thought as she put the CD into the player. She pressed play and sat down to stretch, waiting for everyone to show up.

Aurora's pulled tendon had healed fairly quickly, and she was actually enthusiastic about this meeting. She arrived early this time to actually do stretches.
"Hi, Kahlen!" She greeted enthusiastically. "Oh, are we doing music this time?" She really liked music.

Mellianne walked into the gym shortly after Aurora. "Hi Kahlen! Hi Aurora!" She had brought the dance shoes that she had mail ordered.
At the sound of the music, she asked, "What music is this?" Putting her bag and sandals on the ground, out of the way, she put her shoes on and started to stretch.

"Oh, yes, Aurora," Kahlen said with a big grin, "there will be music."
Kahlen stood up to stretch her back. "This is 'Thoroughly Modern Millie.' In other words, I think we've done enough ballet, so we're moving on to musical theatre."
She paused a moment, then said cheekily, "I -do- hope the boys won't mind."

Mellianne grinned sheepishly as she continued to stretch. "I hope so too, but I care more about whether or not I can keep up with the rhythm and all that. Do you think we might have anyone new come and join us?"

Damien walked in, putting his bag down in a corner. He'd been waking up early to do stretching beforehand every time the lessons took place, and it had definitely been helping. He'd been getting a lot more flexible the last few weeks.
"Oh ey, are we doing soething different today? Haven't seen you with a stereo before."

Less bounded into the room with far too much energy...and barefoot. He had somehow gotten the idea in his head that it would be good to arrive already ready to change into dance shoes, and had not realized that he would get dirt and wet grass in them or that said dirt and wet grass would make dancing very uncomfortable.
"Hello!" he called out as he skidded to a halt in front of the sets of shoes. "What's that thing for?"

Kahlen patted her boom box. "This is for a bit of fun. We'll be starting some musical theatre dance. It's mostly jazz."
She had finished her stretching and was waiting for everyone else to warm up. She spotted Less' bare feet. "Hm. You might want to clean your feet up a bit. I don't think you'd want to dirty up the shoes, yeah?"
Kahlen grinned at Less' antics and switched songs on the CD. "Alright. So, this is the song that I'm going to have you learn a dance to."
What we think is chic, unique and quite adorable... played from the boom box.
(Edit for the song- it's called 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' if you wanted to listen to it.)
