Name: Philbert Kenneth Reginald Decanter
Age: 10
Hair color: White
Eye color: Blue
Height: 4'0"
Appearance: Philbert has long white hair that sticks straight up but manages to look a bit unkempt but debonair. It sticks up almost as tall as the points of his lab coat collar. The collar is always spotless white, except right after an explosion (although it always looks inexplicably impeccable as soon as everyone has looked away). He usually wears a pair of gloves appropriate to his setting, from heavy rubber for labwork to comfortable cloth in the classroom. He likes the color purple, and will often have bits of it on his outfit, either in the lining of his labcoat, a broach, or even his gloves. Under his coat, he wears a pair of slacks and steel-toed boots (a hard earned lesson).
Philbert has a scar that runs vertically through his left eye, although his eye is still perfectly in tact. The scar does little besides leave the skin slighly discolored, the only side effect from a failed experiment of genetically mutated guppies, crossed with triceratops DNA. The experiment only truly went awry when they developed telekinesis.
Biography: Professor Lambert Decanter, world famous scientist in the field of science, having made innumerable scientific breakthroughs to further the fields of science, couldn't decide one prestigious name for his son, so he picked 3 of them - all of which prophesized greatness (or at least that's what a website told him).
Philbert didn't just dismantle his crib as an infant... he re-engineered it into a primitive reactor, utilizing the thermo-nuclear mobile his father had installed above it. By the age of five, Philbert had memorized every book and document in his family's library - a collection that spanned an entire wing of their five story mansion. Traditional schools could give nothing to the young Reginald, and none of the non traditional schools his parents could look up fit either - that is, until they found Saint Dymphna's Academy.
Personality: Philbert, like any mad scientist worth his salt, has several excentricies. He's not shy, but he dislikes large groups and is content to be alone. He has a collection of imaginary friends that he will regularly interact with - he often prefers these to actual friends, as they can't pull from his own extensive intellect and knowledge like his imaginary friends can. He never throws anything away, and often rumages through garbage for parts for his next experiment, or the one after. You never know when you might need a used septic tank! Smaller objects can be stored in his Briefcase of Folding, which folds space to fit more into the case than would normally be possible. Even with his extensive archiving system in place (all in his head) he sometimes has difficulty finding things. Other people would never be able to find things in it.
He is also plagued with a few symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. He will often contemplate systems by which to categorize and archive things, but rarely gets around to actually doing so, putting off these tasks in favor of more important things needing to be done. He has trouble delegating tasks, since they won't be done 'right,' even if by taking them on they aren't done at all. Tasks have to be completed in specific steps, even if his steps involve taking three times the normal amount of time, or he'll redo it from the beginning.
Skills: Philbert's skills are too broad to nail down. He's extremely proficient in most feilds of science, including chemistry, physics, astronomy, robotics and biology. He's also a brilliant scholar in history and philosophy.
