During the chase through the school, Tzu's temper had gone from 'angry' to 'absolutely livid.' Running down two flights of stairs after a hedgehog was not normally good for one's mental well being, and in this case the hedgehog was responsible for damaging the only being which had stayed with him through all hardships. Admittedly, he probably would have felt better had he not been out of breath from yelling at it the entire way down.
By the time he made it to the second floor, the hedgehog had vanished from his line of sight. However, the library door was slightly ajar. Since all rats, and therefore spiny ones as well, liked to chew on books, he was certain that his soon-to-be victim had run in there for more rampant destruction. Having abandoned subtlety, he hit the door at full speed and slammed it open.

Parum had decided to be a librarian to help people and for the nice, quiet books. Books never yelled, never exploded, were never irritating to listen to. She could read, maybe practice a spell or two.
But certainly not today. No, today decided to be loud, unexpected, and angry at spiny mammals.
The moment that the door slammed open, there was a bright pink flash, the sweet smell of flowers, and a very, very sharp pain in Tzu's gut.
"GYAAA! WH-WHAT ARE YOU...oh my."

Tzu Mei didn't expect a bright flash. His first thought was that someone had rigged a flashbang to go off, but there had been no 'bang' and besides, they usually didn't flash pink. Since he seemed to be unharmed, he automatically filed the sudden pain away to be worried about later. For now, he had a hedgehog to skin. "Spiny rat. Have you seen one?" he asked tersely. "It likes to eat things." Just glancing around the place, he didn't see anything moving except for the librarian. It could be hiding, however.

"N-no, I was just reading one of my spellbooks, a-and you burst in, and, um, you...you may be...pregnant. Maybe."
Parum looked down at the book again, very worried. Yup. The page she was looking at was a pregnancy spell.
"...whoopsies?"

What? That was absurd enough to stop him from going off to search the rest of the library. "Excuse me? Pregnant?" That...didn't sound very possible. In fact, it sounded rather impossible. "How, exactly, does that work? Where's the fetus going to gestate? Will I keep in a box or... something?" Tzu Mei was fairly certain that this was either an elaborate prank by a student or a simple mistake.

"Um...I don't know. But...it HAS happened before, and you...you probably ARE pregnant."
She paused for a moment, looking down at the book, still flustered.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't expecting anyone to burst in, and you scared me! The spell I was practicing misfired, and now...well, this. On the plus side, you'll also smell like flowers for a few days?"

"...Why were you practicing a spell to make men pregnant?" Tzu Mei asked, pressing his hand against his forehead in exasperation. He should have expected something unusual to happen at this school, but he shouldn't have had to expect something unusual to happen. As much as he wanted to just go target shooting and pretend everything had been an illusion caused by stress, he felt that that would not solve anything. He was just going to ignore that thing about flowers.

"It wasn't to make men pregnant, it was just...pregnancy. I don't want to make people pregnant the normal way, that's...nevermind. If I don't practice new spells, I could get rusty, and...and this is just very unlucky. Do...do you want to go to the nurse?
Parum was more worried about the status this would put her new job in, but the fact that she had actually made a baby was also...a slight shock. She wasn't sure what to do.

"We have a nurse now?" That was a slight bit of good news. He certainly didn't want to have to treat another student for concussion in a makeshift infirmary. And it would be good to have somewhere for someone to drag him should he succumb to another bout of psychosis. "So. Spiny rat tried to eat my sword. I'm pregnant. But we finally have a medic, and my class supplies will be coming in early. Despite that, this day is not going very well."

Parum closed the spellbook, and after a moment on consideration, put it under and behind the main desk.
"Let's just get to the nurse."
She headed out the door of the library, taking a second to frown at the mark on it from Tzu's 'grand' entrance.

"You know where the infirmary is, I take it?" he asked rhetorically as he followed the succubus out of the library. He did not apologize for slamming the door open.
